An Apartment in Alaska -- Super Interior

This house is in Alaska and the interior is really nice.

Like houses in Korea the floor is wooden (no carpet) so cleaning is really easy.

The shelf design has a really nice rectangular pattern. See the stairs? They look nice.

Also the big windows allow a lot of light to come inside.

Blue Sky - Los Angeles House On A Hill

This house is near Hollywood in California. The style is really nice and the view is really good.

Our old house

Class, Ms. H and I used to live here when we were in the military. Can you believe it? It was in 1989 in Greece. The building is being repaired. I think it will look great when they finish it!

We were driving a Hyundai Atoz -- a fun car to drive!

Construction

This house in Greece is being built. It is for tourists so maybe it will be ready next year.

Spiral Stairs

The best part of this building is the stairs. They go up in a spiral. This house is in Greece and the building is made of concrete.

Look inside the Alaska apartment (above). Do you see the stairs?

Small Buildings

Some buildings can be very small but very useful. What is this building? It is at a beach in Greece. It's very cute, isn't it?

Old Church

There are many kinds of buildings and some are very old. This church is in Greece. The church is for farmers because there are no people around it -- only farm animals.

You can also see the inside of it.

Also, this church was built using very, very old stones from another church. Can you see the white, old stones?

Chicago

Chicago has some nice buildings -- some people say it is the best American city for architecture.

Wouldn't it be nice to have one of these apartments behind me in the round towers?

Houses

Hello Class! This is a little city that my students did a few years ago when I was a teacher in Los Angeles. The students were 13 years old. They had to plan a city. Every student made a little building.

And we have arrived. Hurray!

Coming in to L.A. the air looks clearer. And this 12 hour flight is almost over.

This is L.A. in July 2005. The pollution is not good.....

Ice! It's melting.

London to Los Angeles

Here we are over Greenland. This flight is from London to Los Angeles in July 2005.

Here it comes!

This plane just "landed" on the water. It's fun to watch the planes land.

This plane is for sale! It's cheaper than the SR22 but it still cost $80,000. Lot of money, isn't it?

This is in Alaska near the airport. A sunny day!
Here we landed in Alaska. The flight is almost over -- just get off and get our luggage.

Flying

Here are some airplane trips. This trip is from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City in August 2005. You can see a small fire on the ground.

Autumn in Seoul

What a great hiker! haha!!

It's Autumn and if you have a chance to go hiking then please do it! Seoul is great because you can go hiking right in the city. You can't do that in any city! What a great trail!

First we went hiking, then ate a dinner. So, on the way back home it was dark, but pretty, yes?

The air was clear and the city lights were so warm. They sparkle, don't you think? Is this 2007 or sometime in the future ~ 2050?

New Hard disk~

It happened! My hard disk was beginning to fail. Noooooooo!!!!

The hard drive was making strange noises so I was able to save all of my data. In fact, it was making strange noises for about three weeks.

So, I needed to buy a new one. Where to go? I first looked on www.danawa.com. It's a good web site.

Then we went to Yong-san to the I-Park Mall.

I expected it to be crowded, but it wasn't. I expected the computer parts store clerk to ask for a high price -- but they were nice! I-Park Mall
is really nice!I was so surprised -- you should go!

So, I bought a new hard drive. It's 400 GB and my last one was 250 GB. I put it in
our computer.

By the way, the price was a little cheaper in Korea than in the U.S.A. (about 20,000 won less).

The most important part -- the new hard drive works!! (The new hd is in the upper right corner). This computer is an Macintosh -- iMac.

Food Time! Part 3!!!

Do you like snacks? I do!

It's time for one of the best -- "hotcakes"!!

Some people call them "hotcakes" and others call them "pancakes".

Personally, I say "pancakes" but it's your choice!

The syrup is also very important for high-quality pancakes. If you can find it, use only pure maple syrup. This bottle is from Canada.

Food Time! Part 2

Another masterpiece from the kitchen! This time it is bacon, green olive, and cheese sandwiches! Of course, someone (our cat) would like to have one sandwich -- mainly the bacon!
haha!

Now, I'm done cooking the french fries. We always squeeze lemon on the french fries. Greek (Greece) people do this -- that's where we got the idea to put lemon juice on french fries. Why don't you try it?

Now, the meal is complete! It is art, yes?

Food Time!

Everyone likes food and some people like to cook. I like to cook, but everything I cook is simple.

Simple and (I think) delicious -- like potatoes. To cook these potatoes and "go-gu-mah" I wash them, make some holes in them with a fork, then put olive oil on them. They bake for 45 minutes at 200 degrees C.

The Weekend

Hello Class!

Did you have a nice weekend? What did you do? Please post a comment! ^^

As for me, I some work to do but on Sunday I rode my bike down the Han River. It was really nice weather and a lot of people were enjoying the beautiful day. There were some guys who were flying their kites and other guys were fishing.

Most people rode their bikes but some people had in-line skates. Do you do in-line skating? I do and so does Ms. H. It's another fun thing to do next to the Han River.

Oh, it's late!! I must go! See you!

MJC 전산 English Introduction

Hello Everyone!

How are you? This is my first blog -- ever! I think everyone has a blog nowadays. Now I do, too!

I am not putting my name on this blog. Why? because of privacy -- OK, I will put my name on this blog. I'm 미스터 핸슨. My user name is "dhmjc06" (0=zero).

For this class (전산 영어) you need to make a blog. Why? It is an excellent way to practice English and talk about what your interests.

1. Your blog should have pictures of you, picture of your hobbies or things you are interested in, of anything you like.

2. Your blog should have a diary to it. You should update your blog-diary one time a week or more.

3. For your blog-diary, you should write about what you did in school, what you studied, what you did in your free-time, and anything else you want to write about.

4. Also, you should post about what we studied and learned in this class (전산 영어).

Your grade--

You must try! Make your blog interesting. Make good sentences, but mistakes are OK. Use your English, not a Korean to English internet translator. If you do these things then you will get a good grade!
